The argument is that this is not true. There is NO chance of winning the "incremental" reforms, now or later, while there is a small, very small, but _real_ chance of winning the "big one" (big one in this case being some form of single-payer). That argument may be wrong, but it is the argument that you have to respond to, and your post doesn't even recognize its existence.
