I suppose it is possible that Ahmadinajad actually believes such like rubbish, but keep in mind that Iran is (sort of) a democracy, so unlike Fidel, Ahmedinajad has to please his voters to stay in business. Imagine how some of the pig-stupid things our politicians feel obliged to say here in the U.S.A. strike the ears of listeners in civilized countries.

Note also that his repeated argument isn't that the Nazi Holocaust never happened, but that Europeans instead of Palestinians should be the ones who sacrifice their land and wealth to make reparations for the crimes they committed. That argument wouldn't make any sense at all if his position were that those crimes had never taken place.
