True, and the movie is way too soft on the Dems. But Bloomberg was a lifelong Democrat until he ran for mayor, and on the substantial questions, any plausible Dem wouldn't be much different. In fact it's like that had asshole Mark Green or hack Freddy Ferrer been mayor, it's likely his budgets would have been more austere than Bloomberg's, just to prove himself to the FIRE crowd that really runs the city.
