Big deal. The witchhunt finally drew some blood. I'd bet that a similar inquiry directed at all American university professors would find similar problems at most universities. It's a real shame that gifted, outspoken intellectuals like Churchill are subject to this garbage.
If you are public about your political opinions, expect to have problems working in any profession. I've learned that lesson all too well.
