Just out of curiousity: how much did Verso "edit" your Wall Sreet book? I mean, did some fact-checker go through all your citations or did they basically just print your ms as is?
As an aside, I remember speaking once to an editor at SEP who told me that Chomsky required that his mss be printed "as is" (no editing allowed). I guess his renowned photographic memory really is 100% accurate, as I don't know that anyone has ever caught him out on a fact. That being said, many times I think his writing could use an edit for style. Possibly the most satisfying of his works for me was that collection of interviews *heavily* edited by two writers that came out a few years ago under the title "Understanding Power".
