i'm wondering now if the Simon Wiesenthal Centre really sent a letter to Kofi Annan. did it say anything like 'if the story is true'? it'd seem silly to send a protest letter like that. i bet it didn't say anything like 'if the story is true'....
oddly the ADL was on top of the story:
"While it is factual that the Iranian parliament is considering some kind of dress code, there is no evidence of any discussion or legislation concerning badges or the like for Jews and others."
