[lbo-talk] Enron sentencing date seen as poetic justice

In what could be a preview of how hard the judge will come down on
Skilling and Lay, Judge Sim Lake set the date for sentencing for
9/11.  Most observers are seeing this as a direct slam against
Skilling's defense that the tragedy of 9/11 was really responsible
for the malfeasance at Enron and for his inability to know what was
going on.

Lay will probably die in prison; Skilling may, too.
