In fact, Chrissie Hynde battled for many years against Rush Limbaugh's use of her song. Then in 1997, she announced that she was willing to permit to continue using the song providing that he donated all the royalities that he owed her to PETA. Apparently, Rush was agreeable to this and he reportedly gives over $500,000 a year to the organization now. http://tinyurl.com/zpxwb
