DONALD Trump's battle with Palm Beach over his oversize flagpole at Mar-a-Lago got nastier this week, as the town threatened to fine him $250 a day for violating its zoning laws and both sides hurled insults at each other. Trump, whose 80-foot flagpole exceeds the 42- foot maximum, fumed that anybody who objects "should not, in my opinion, hold a public office of any kind - at least not in this country. And I thought I was doing the town a favor." But Lee Handley, vice chairman of the town landmarks commission, told the Palm Beach Post the flag is so big, it "looks like we have an Okeechobee car dealer."
