Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and US President George W. Bush are scheduled to hold their first bilateral talks on November 18 during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in Hanoi.
The decision was made during a telephone conversation between the two leaders one day after Shinzo Abe became Japanese Prime Minister on September 26, according to Kyodo News.
They are expected to discuss the realignment of US military presence in Japan and to exchange opinions regarding relations with China and India. (VNA)
