Amen. I'd give my left arm for more events where people just got together and talked for a few hours. I'm also tired of parties whose main purpose is smoking and drug abuse and loud music.
Oh, and spare me the insufferable guy at parties who always pulls out his guitar and starts jamming and singing. I don't go to events and start writing and painting paintings or doing web design, so what gives you the right to inflict your godawful acoustical masturbation on the rest of us?
