One high note: A Democrat, Nick Lampson is replacing Tom DeLay. Heh. Otherwise, the Texas Democratic party, or more specifically, the Harris County Dem Party, rolled over and played dead. And so the Texas conundrum continues: The national Dem party will not invest the big bucks in taking Texas away from the GOP until Texas elects a Democratic governor. Eh?
