Nope, never visited those parts. Though unless the people there belong to a separate species I can't imagine they are much different to the people I know. I made no judgement about these "kind of people", rather I was judging this Steingart character. I've come across his sort closer to home as well.

I haven't advocated any of that, or even defended it.
It isn't about me, or even about your local lumpens. Its about the sinister propaganda being put about by your mate Steingart. Frankly, I find it demeaning to go into specifics. But since you insist on defending the little turd, I suppose I must. What really got to me was his claim that the European "underclass" enjoys an all too comfortable material existence on welfare and all they needed was to be put to work, to inspire a bit of motivation. Reminded me of an earlier slogan - "work will make you free". A lot of the other stuff was in the same vein. It also echoes the slogans of the actual neo-nazis in Gernamy - "if we get power, every German will have work." Yeah right, sometimes in camps dedicated to the purpose no doubt. We remember. If you want to oppose the neo-nazis, you need to start by questioning their basic premises, which this moron Steingart refuses to do. As a result, he seems inclined to finish up at the same destination, albeit by a more circuitous route.
In all honesty, I think I prefer the propaganda of those who openly advocate the jack-boot, outright punitive measures against the "underclass". At least you know what you're up against.
