On other movie news, the Don Cossacks down in Rostov are threatening to picket the Moscow Ostankino TV tower in protest over the televization of the new Quiet Flows the Don movie on the grounds that a) though it has a Russian director, the actors (inc. Rupert Everet) are foreign, it is a co-Italian production and was done in English, then dubbed into Russian and b) it is not a histroically accurate portrayal of Cossacks, e.g., in the movie the female Cossacks have their heads bare whereas actual Cossack women were headscarves.
