Not quite, since only members who had been in the party for more than 6 months had the right to vote.
Membership has literally doubled with the 20 euro fee introduced a few months ago. It is considered that those new members voted massively for Royal.
Considering the choice members had: Royal, Strauss-Kahn or Fabius, I wonder if we are not better-off with her. After all, a president is not a prime minister in France, and to answer Yoshie, Royal seems to stand way to the left of Blair.
