US soldiers, I agree. But mercenaries / western civilians / Iraqis working with the occupation forces ? If we get that many heavy armored US soldiers down (don't forget the wounded), what about all the rest of the occupation population ?
Also, the 600,000 deaths estimated by the Lancet (?) have to be considered in the context of 15 years of deprivations. I am not sure we have a detailed account of what is really going on there.
And regarding terrorism, how many covert operations organized by the occupation forces ? Obviously suicide bombers are not involved there, but there is enough of the rest to not put all the responsibility on a few nut-cases.
Anyway, I can't imagine that things would get any worse at all if the US/GB were out of the country.
