Are you saying that forced military slavery is preferable over voluntary service? That's really fucked up, dude. I'm against the military existing at all. I've done activism against recruiting. I've protested meetings of the dratf board. It is simply indefensible for a progressive to support government slavery of any kind.

If a free society is going to have a military, it has to be based on volunteers. Conscription in incompatible with freedom. If you are going to force me into the military, my first obligation is to fight the government that is infringing on my freedom.
