I found the article a rehash of what was published in the mainstream press in France. Not of much interest, and certainly nothing that shows what Royal has done in the past that explains the support of most PS members.

Nobody doubts she is not a hardcore socialist, but it's been a long time since the French PS has left its socialist cloths, so why blame it on her ?

It seems to me the urgent task (and she could be the one who succeeds) is to rally lower-middle class people who have been tempted by LePen and sorts. I think a number of people of the lower-working class could also be tempted by her approach. Once they are in, it really is the PS's task to organize them.
