Edward Bernays was quite a character -- the nephew of Sigmund Freud and as 
crammed full of BS (i.e., bullshit) as his uncle.

There is some dispute, however, as to whether Bernays is the "father" of PR 
(which is of course appropriate for such a bastardized field of endeavor).  
The other leading claimant as PR's procreator is Ivy Lee, the guy who got 
the Rockefeller family off the hook for the Ludlow Massacre.
