The Ben Kien Shipyard in northern Haiphong city launched a 8,700-tonne cargo ship on November 27.
This is the second of the four 8,700-tonne cargo ships built by the shipyard for the Japanese Kanematsu Corporation. The freighter, 111.7 metres long, 18.6 metres wide and 9.65 metres high, was designed by the Japanese AZ Company and built under supervision of the NK registration agency, also from Japan.
The Ben Kien Shipyard is a subsidiary of the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. (VNA)
