I know you're fond of describing the present-day US as fascist, but finance capital here is far from the most reactionary, chauvinist sector of society. In fact, they're rather cosmopolitan and internationalist, compared to your average car dealer, farmer, or McDonald's franchisee.

^^^^^^ CB: I think the technical Marxist term for the U.S. today is Devilish, no ?

I believe Dimitrov's definition of fascist was the "...rule of the most reactionary, most devilish _sections of finance capital_" , not the most reactionary section of all of society ? Don't Bush and the Congress represent the most reactionary , devilish _sections of finance capital_ 2006 ?

The definition implies a comparison between the sections of finance capital, not between and the petit bourgeoisie ( McDonald's franchisee et al) and the big bourgeoisie. The reactionary petit bourgeoisie were in alliance with the reactionary big bourgeoisie in Nazism.

Henry Ford ( from the reactionary sections of the big bourgeoisie) was internationalist too. He sent money to Hitler ( a petit bourgeois reactionary) in another country.

However, there isn't "open terrorist rule" in the U.S. today, although the bill just passed in Congress is a giant step toward _open_ terrorist rule. So, the U.S. is proto-fascist ( Devilish), not fully fascist.
