Vietnam concerns about DPRK's nuclear test: Spokesman http://www.nhandan.com.vn/english/news/101006/domestic_vn.htm

"Vietnam is greatly concerned about the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s nuclear test on October 9. By doing so, the DPRK will worsen the tension and do no good to peace and stability in the region," Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Dung said on October 9 in reply to correspondents' queries on the matter.

"Located in the region, Vietnam always yearns for peace, stability, co-operation and development in the Asia-Pacific region and supports peace, stability and non-nuclearisation in the Korean peninsula," spokesman Dung said.

The Vietnamese spokesman called on concerned parties to exercise restraint and quickly re-convene the six-party talks in order to narrow their differences to reach an appropriate solution to the nuclear issue in the Korean peninsula. (VNA)
