This is the theme song used on the Showtime series Weeds, about a suburban mom who takes to selling pot to maintain her materialistic, consumerist, suburban lifestyle after her husband unexpectedly dies.
There is some really good writing that displays the hidden dark side of this "ideal" suburban town in California.
Oh and Death Cab For Cutie and Jenny Lewis [of Rilo Kiley] do wonderful interpretations of the song (amongst many others, even some for the old farts :-P). New versions are being used for each episode for Season 2, currently airing in the States.
