I'm not interested in socialism. I am for communism. The abolition of commodity production and the state. A society of freely associated producers.
The "nation" belongs to that category of things to be abolished if communism is to have a chance. "National liberation" has zero progressive potential.
Now, obviously, communism is not on the immediate agenda, for any sector of humanity. I can understand there are genuinely humanitarian types who aren't motivated by anti-semitism who sincerely wish to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians. I suppose it would be in the short-term interests of all parties involved if every single UN resolution relevant to this conflict were immediately applied by all parties. But that also looks rather utopian at this point.
Sometimes there are no easy answers. I have no counsel to offer those who would ask what we would do to help the suffering of the Palestinians in the short term. I do know that I reject any proposal that involves inflicting suffering on Israelis.
