All the chitchat about "who started" this war misses the point. It was Israel alone that escalated the conflict out of all proportion, carpeting Lebanon with cluster bombs and using internationally proscribed phosphorous shells. -- e.g.:

When Israeli UN Ambassador Dan Gillerman boasted of Israel's attack on Lebanon, "You're damned right this is disproportionate!" -- there was no doubt who the war criminals are.
