I caught a few minutes of CNN International from Lyon last night, and the "faith and <something> correspondent" was saying how the critical difference between being "sorry for the reaction" and "being sorry to have said it" was due to the fact that what he was saying in the original speech was "complicated" -- and proceeded to not try to explain it a bit.
Anyone see any analysis of his original speech?
