[lbo-talk] 1970s commercial - Braniff Airways commercials

I know how easy it is to get lost in the treasure trove of old commercials, school films, etc., that YouTube offers.

Another Braniff commercial, in the sidebar of that surprising Salvador Dali one you posted, proposes to show the airways of the future, 1975 style. Of course, women are still all stewardesses, and Ted Stevens would be heartened to see that airports "OF THE FUTURE!!" feature people traveling through pneumatic glass tubes, like cargo. The video phone with a corded handset is really bulky & cumbersome looking, a big difference between a portable Razr picture phone. "A friendly computer already knows more about you than you do." Oh, and everyone's in a Supersonic jet. Ha.
