Sensenbrenner Bill Won’t Secure Our Borders or 
Provide an Earned Path to Citizenship

Our current immigration system has created an underground economy where unscrupulous employers deprive our government of needed revenue by forcing immigrants to work for substandard pay and in hazardous conditions.

But rather than fix this outdated system, the Sensenbrenner-King bill would make it even worse. Under the bill, 11 million undocumented immigrants would be turned into criminals who local police can arrest. Police would be free to question, “demand papers,” and detain people who can’t prove they have legal status...
