<div>If the State does not care to rehabilitate people affected by its own action where the citizen should go ? What method he should adopt? </div>

<div>I visited the Tsunami affected Nagapattiniam area just a few days back. The role of NGOs in binding the Government to help NGOs implement their own programme has been exciting. If all the expenses for rehab were to come from the State's kitty there the rehab work &nbsp;it would have been a disaster.

<div>It is possible to have many minor&nbsp; dams across Narmada without causing so much dislocation for people. The government is going ahead to raise the height of the dam further w even before completing the rehabilitation of thew already dislocated, which is a promise made to the Supreme court.&nbsp; I have nodoubt the Supreme court once again support the State and the political class is calling Medha's effort a blackmail! Even in US you can see in your history similar problems while developing river valleys.
