<DIV>HRC's political past is indeed very puzzling. The Goldwater connection - tenuous as it probably was - is interesting given her embrace of Rupert Murdoch (and vice versa) in recent months. [BTW the deep south was not the only place where the Goldwater campaign had a racial connection. In California for instance, the right wing, if I recall my history correctly, defeated a fair housing initiative - although I have no idea about Illinois] If there were substance to what is said about HRC's youthful radicalism you would think the right wing media would have made a bigger stink about it than it has. Certainly radical/ liberal activist political pasts of prominent political figuers is something that usually comes to the surface rather quickly and noticeably (E.g. Robert Bork's youthful membership in the Socialist Party. John Kerry's role in the vvaw and that of Bill Clinton himself). SR</DIV>
