Please consider taking a moment to sign this petition deploring the recent actions of the Polish gov't with respect to Polish veterans of the International Brigades. The Polish authorities have referred to these anti-fascist veterans as "traitors" and "criminals", and propose to abolish by law these veterans' pensions and rename a street and a school in Warsaw which had been named in the veterans' honour. They have also airbrushed the vets' names from Warsaw's Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Les brigadistes polonais éliminés de l?Histoire Le gouvernement de Varsovie met en place actuellement une série de mesures visant à éliminer de l?histoire du pays le souvenir des brigadistes polonais qui ont combattu pour la défense de la République espagnole contre l?agression combinée de Franco, Hitler, Mussolini et Salazar. Les brigadistes sont qualifiés par les autorités polonaises de « traîtres et criminels ».
