On p. 15 of the UHW memo <http://media.sfweekly.com/789842.0.pdf>, it's said that "UHW members have expressed incredible frustration and dissatisfaction with these [template] agreements and have adopted a position that any renewed agreement should start with transitioning current templates into full contracts." The common expiration of the agreements is June 15, 2008 (p. 8). If workers are capable and willing, they can seize hold of this memo (there are lots of useful facts here) to fight for full contracts, and leftists who are situated geographically close to the workers covered by these agreements can assist them in their fight. If they want to do that, they should be starting now. -- Yoshie
