Well, yes and no. Firing weapons can actually be fun, if you take it on its 
own terms. Problem is, too many gun freaks tie their personal and political 
manias to not just the shooting itself, but the mere ownership of firearms. 
It becomes fetishsized, in some cases destructively so.
