^^^^^^ CB: Yes, but if African populations die out because of AIDS, do you think the other human populations will turn into a new species ?

And of course, the human species today has pretty much no "isolated" populations likely to give rise to a new species. Humans today are one big gene pool, no ? That's globalization. That's why AIDS is spreading into all sub-populations.
