Billy Bragg then there are  the Mekons, though I don't know what the 
discussion it about at this point. Did hear them live once. Taken by 
a once devoted follower, and they seem to have quite of few of those. 
Still punk but mostly folk, I think. Somehow jaded and energetic. 
Vocals often quite beautiful.
