No argument that some people like driving trucks and the open road. But eleven months is an exceptionally long haul.
[WS:] For truckers, yes, but not for mariners. Also, for workers on overseas projects. I know a few who preferred longer stays over shorter ones. The point is that some people like being away from their families for varying periods of time, others do not. The latter generally do not take jobs that require extensive travel, the former do. It is hard to judge one group by the standards of the other.
