Come now. It's pretty mild compared to what could be. The U.S. is a lot more welcoming to immigrants than Western Europe or Japan.

The "fat, pampered" etc. are not all as fat and pampered as this; a lot of them are just ordinary people with mortgages to pay and kids to feed. Why so much contempt for people like yourself?

In any case, the better off have savings and could probably ride out a storm a lot better than the poor and working class.
