Ah, but you underestimate the demands the rich impose on themselves. Many years ago Vanity Fair did an article on Baron so and so and his wife, and the stresses of travelling between and supervising two or three major households in two or three continents, keeping in touch with children in Swiss private schools, attending to minor business interests and hobbies, supervising the installation of their private art collection at a temporary exhibit at the Prado, and acknowledging the weddings, divorces, birthdays and anniversaries of hundreds of intimate acquaintances and influential persons. Plus the ongoing chore of personal health and beautification. And this was only the wife's portion! I almost felt a pang of sympathy for the Baroness.
