NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. financial giant Citigroup Inc. (C.N: Quote, Profile, Research) expanded further in Latin America on Thursday by merging its Chilean banking assets with those of Banco de Chile (CHI.SN: Quote, Profile, Research), and said it aims to get even bigger in the region through more acquisitions and organic growth.
"It doesn't complete the expansion (in Latin America)," said Manuel Medina Mora, chief executive of Citi Latin America and Mexico, in a telephone interview. "It's a work in progress." http://www.reuters.com/article/ousiv/idUSN1926844520070719?sp=true
