To call that sentence "odd" is being exceedingly charitable, IMO. Do they even read the shit they post? A. Cockburn lost me back when he published that dumb column in The Nation defending Prince Harry for dressing up as Rommel for a costume party: "The Afrika Korps uniform was a nice idea and a lot more original than putting some shoeblack on his face and going as a native."
