I'm far from a fan of Paul's night watchman prescriptions and the isolationist-nativist (which for all intents and purposes translates into unilateralist-racist) enthusiasts he emboldens, but out of context there is something compelling about that remark... far more so if the Federal Reserve bugaboo is replaced by with the US Treasury-investment bank complex, of course.
