[lbo-talk] European Racism

OK, I am actually on record as stating that Russian ethnoculturophobia is not racist in the narrow sense (i.e., ethnic Russians don't consider themselves to be Europeans or "white"), although it's incorporating some Western racist themes at present. However the racist ideology (white-skinned people = good) is clearly a species of ethnic hatred. And I do not see why it is worse (or better) than any other, except for the historical accident that white-skinned people have had more guns for the past few centuries.

I mean, if you're a member of unpopular ethnic group, your chances of winding up dead because of it are a lot higher in Central Asia, Russia or Central Africa than in NYC.
