[lbo-talk] This "Partner" Crap

I wasn't suggesting "date" as a replacement for "partner," but rather
pointing out that "partner," at least as I've heard it, excludes
dates, as well as friends, colleagues, etc.  Down South, I often see
invitations addressed to the recipient "and guest," which seems about
ideal to me.
