My first encounter with a desk top computer was with a Mac; when the Weekly Mail was started (South Africa, circa 1985)
Heavens. The screen was black and white and something was called a "Lisa" was it the printer or the actual computer.
Very long story short, two years later (I recall, now), I owned a PC, 1988, I placed the a message on the "internet".
Dang, I hope there are SOME people on this list who can identify/empathise/commsrate
