Of course kids come in all ages and maturities. You can't show some of these flicks to the four and under crowd because they become frightened. With that said, all with class conscious parental commentary before and dialogue after the showing:

"King Kong" (1930s version) "War of the Worlds" (1950s version) A series of Laurel and Hardy shorts including "Laughing Gravy" "Modern Times" "Henry V" (Branaugh's) "Romeo and Juliet" (Zeferelli) "Peter Rabbit" "Viva Zapata" "Treasure Island" (with Robert Newton) "Fantasia" (the old one) "Odyssey" 1954 Italian version of the tale starring Kirk Douglas "Grapes of Wrath" "African Queen" "The Day the Earth Stood Still"

and stuff like that...
