Disappointing but, seen in context, not very surprising.
After all, the interview was clearly conducted more in a spirit of agreement than inquiry (i.e., there was a lot of 'why do you think we're dropping the ball?' sorts of questions and not so many of the 'what evidence do you have that we're, as you assert, dropping the ball?' variety).
