Actually there is a more modern song about "My address is the Soviet  Union." It mentions a number of former soviet republics.   Everytime I hear it in a public place (like a cafe or pub) it always  starts conversations. There are many - and I mean millions - of people  in Russia today who are from former soviet republics. They like and  even love Russia, but also love their homelands.  Russia means a  lot to them, but this does not always - actually rarely - mean their  identities.
