Back in the early eighties when The Nation was regularly out and  
about with the begging bowl, didn't Marty Peretz suggest that The  
Nation's inability to turn a profit demonstrated its intellectual  
bankruptcy?  Turning on his own spit now, I guess.  Où sont les  
Krauthammers d'antan?
