Atheists frequently point out that they're the US's least trusted group, of those studied in a national survey. (Including Muslims, blacks, homosexuals, etc.) <http://www.soc.umn.edu/pdf/atheistAsOther.pdf>

That is, atheists are believed to least agree with peoples' vision of American society, and atheists drew the strongest disapproval if peoples' children wanted to marry one. (Haven't had time to do more than skim the study, so YMMV.)
