Again, I can't help but ask myself why this was all done? What was the point of breaking Iraq so that it was beyond repair? Riverbend
----
I have followed Riverbend since the beginning. I have great sympathy for her plight.
But ever since she wrote about the summer of good-byes last August, I've been wondering if she, her family and friends should start planning to get out.
Any way, Iraq is not going to get better and safer. It's going down. The only question is when and how and how many people get caught in the killing. Being more or less middle class, westernized, fluent in English, and a woman all sound like the wrong side for any faction, no matter who ends up on top.
